An evening of ‘Good time Rock and Roll’ with ‘Hot Foot Powder’

Established in 2013, four full-time professional musicians got together to share a love for rock & roll music from the 50’s and 60’s. They also cover music from the Who, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Entry for dinner and dance: €10 plus an aperitif
There is a choice of menus and Tapas available from €22

Mercredi  5 aout “Vallure”

Le troisième concert cet été dans la Cour du Chateau du Puit es Pratx

"Vallure" est un duo folklorique néerlandait avec Liam Pek au chant et Yassir Oostrom à la guitare et au chant. Cette simple set-up rend leur son très pur et transparent et le chant harmonique composées emboît magnifiquement. Si vous avez aimé Simon et Garfunkel, vous allez adorer ces deux jeunes de 17 ans qui ont déjà joué aux Pays-Bas, la France et l'Allemagne et prenne des dispositions pour la tournée en Angleterre et en Belgique très bientôt. Alors que les deux écrivent constamment, ils ont l'intention d'enregistrer leurs chansons et publier un album dans un avenir proche.

Wednesday 5 August : “Vallure”

The last summer concert in the courtyard of Chateau du Puit es Pratx

“Vallure” is a Dutch Folk duo with Liam Pek on lead vocals and Yassir Oostrom on guitar and vocals. This simple set-up makes their sound very pure and transparent and the harmonically composed vocals fit beautifully together. If you liked Simon & Garfunkel you will love these two 17 year olds who have already played in the Netherlands, France and Germany and are shortly touring England and Belgium. Both are constantly writing new material and plan to record their first album in the very near future.

European Jazz Quartet

Friday 17 July sees our 2nd courtyard concert this summer at Chateau du Puit es Pratx. The next is not until August.

We are welcoming the “European Jazz Quartet” led by Jeroen Pek, who is one of Europe’s leading jazz flautists who has toured and recorded internationally with many world-class musicians. He has twice been nominated for the prestigious ‘composition award’ at the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz in Washington D.C. and he is also the principal teacher of the jazz flute at the ArtEZ conservatory in Arnhem and at the Superior Institute of Arts in Tilburg. On tour in Europe this summer he performs with an international line-up with 3 outstanding musicians.

The first courtyard concert at Chateau du Puits es Pratx this summer is next Friday 10th July with ‘Calumette.’

From Los Angeles, Antoine Salem of the orignal Shoestring Trio presents his new project with the vocals of Hale May & Sylvain Dubrez on Double Bass.

Hale and Antoine met in 2014 and combined talents. Hale's gospel, blues, country and blue-grass influences interweave with Antoine's swing, jazz & soul to form an truly enchanting and original musical cocktail.
